As an Application Support professional, your dedication to innovation is essential to what keeps our company moving and thriving. This is an associate front office support role who is responsible for providing product support for the equities trading applications in the Asia locations. The role supports multiple trading desks including Electronic Client Services (ECS), Single Stock, Program Trading, Prime, Equity Derivatives and Futures & Options in a number of products. The role requires working closely with the business and technology team to support the sales and execution OMS for the trading business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Engagement and Incident Management
    • Engage actively with traders and support trading floor activities by promptly resolving production queries, requests, and issues in a high pressure environment
    • Identify, communicate, diagnose, and resolve functional and technical incidents for business users
    • Proactively record and track actions from system incidents to ensure root cause remediation and recurrence prevention
  • Change Management and Subject Matter Expert
    • Plan, review and execute regular application change releases into production environment and work closely with business stakeholders, application developers to minimize change related incidents
    • Conduct regular stability reviews with application owners and act as a regional subject matter expert for the OMS and various trading flows in equities trading
  • Project Management and Continuous Improvement
    • Manage and execute projects for production management
    • Manage platform improvement initiatives in monitoring, stability, resiliency and capacity
    • Participate DevOps programs to develop and utilize appropriate tools to improve operational efficiency and be hands-on in a DevOps environment
    • Implement and support the firm wide modernization strategy to upgrade the trading infrastructure and applications

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
  • Bachelor Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science
  • Minimum 2+ years working in application support
  • Strong knowledge of APAC Equities markets and financial services experience is required, ideally in Cash Equities / Prime Finance or Futures & Options
  • Experience of working in a high pressure or trading floor environment
  • Strong knowledge on FIX protocol and Order Management Systems
  • Strong analytic, problem solving and investigation skill
  • Excellent communication ability to senior business and technology stakeholders
  • Proven solid experiences working in Linux/UNIX environment
  • Strong technical skill including UNIX shell scripting, SQL and network troubleshooting

Skills Desired
  • Experience of Python development (Highly desirable)
  • Experience of supporting algorithmic trading and dark pools
  • Experience of high frequency and low latency trading in FPGA
